Executive coaching

Coaching is an ongoing relationship between an individual seeking to improve their performance and a coach who is skilled at bringing out the best in them and invested in their success.

Emerging Leaders’ approach to leadership and executive coaching is grounded in the practice of active inquiry and active listening. We don’t pretend to bring the answer. Our process works with you to find the answers within, revealing ideas and insights you may not have thought about or directions you haven’t considered.

You may be looking to position yourself for that next promotion or gain confidence navigating relationships between your superiors, peers and subordinates. You may be in the midst of a challenging situation and need the kind of clarity only an outside observer can help you discover. Whatever your need, we can customize a program for you.

The coaching process

The typical coaching engagement begins with a no-obligation consultation where we seek to understand your personal and professional goals and aspirations. We then discuss the results you are looking to achieve as a result of the executive coaching relationship.

If the consultation reveals we may be a good match, we move to the assessment phase. We have access to a variety of tools that will help you gain insights on your life, your work, your strengths and opportunities for future growth. Where appropriate, the assessment may include confidential interviews with others in your organization to gain additional perspective.

Following the assessment, we move to the engagement phase. That may take the form of an initial term from three to 12 months and weekly or biweekly one-on-one meetings, depending on your needs and budget.

What are the meetings like?

As the client, you accept responsibility for scheduling regular meetings through our virtual platform and being prepared and fully present for each session. We typically plan for one-hour virtual meetings and focus them squarely on the results you wish to achieve in each session. You can expect to receive constructive, yet pointed questions intended to help you navigate the increasingly complex situations leaders face in organizations today.

What results can I expect from coaching?

A relationship with an executive and leadership coach is much like any other self-improvement program: You get out of it what you are willing to put in. That includes time spent working with your executive coach, time reflecting on what behaviors are working (and not working) for you and the effort you put into the new directions a coaching relationship will help you discover.

What are our next steps? Let’s schedule a no-obligation consultation.
